Q.Can I wash horse blankets in your machines?

A.We love animals, but please don’t use our machines to wash or dry horse blankets. The hair clogs the drains. We can send horse blankets out for cleaning, though. See an attendant at the service counter Monday–Friday at 8am or 3pm. Otherwise, leave a note in our drop box and we will contact you swiftly

Q.What kinds of detergents do you use in the wash-and-fold service?

A.Tide, All Free & Clear, and Downy fabric softener. If you prefer another brand, simply provide your own detergents for us to use.

Q.What time is the last wash?

A.The machines will not start after 11:00 pm, so make sure you begin your loads before then.

Q.If I’m still in the store after closing time at 12am, what happens?

A.You can still get out from any of the front doors, but you won’t be able to get back in until the store opens again the next day at 5am.

Q.How much soap should I use?

A.Around 2-3 tablespoons of liquid detergent for the machines that wash double loads

¼-cup of liquid detergent for the machines that wash four loads

We have provided a small picture of a basket on the front of the washers and those will show you how many loads each individual washer holds.

Q.Where do I put detergent, bleach and softener?

A.Flip the black lid on the top of the washer and follow this guide:

If you put your supplies in the wrong compartment, don’t worry. It’ll still work the same as if the supplies were added correctly.

Q.Where do I put pods?

A.In the washer with your items, not in the top dispenser.

Q.What happens if a machine doesn’t work right?

A.If an attendant is on-site, let us know right away so we can help. If you’re washing items during self-service hours, complete an “out of order” card and drop it in the white drop box. If a refund is necessary, we’ll get that to you as soon as we can.

Q.Do you spot treat stains in the wash-and-fold service?

A.Yes, if you ask us to or if we happen to notice a stain. However, we can’t guarantee results.

Q.Does Stoughton Laundromat have air conditioning?

A.Yes! Come in and enjoy it.

Q.Can I bring food and beverages inside?

A.Yes! Enjoy your meal at our comfortable tables. Our vending machine offers a nice selection of treats too.  Please pick up after yourself 🙂
